Working from home: What’s next?

The idea of working from home always seemed novel and indulgent to me. Not having to step out of the house or brave the commute to the office was definitely a bonus.

Now that most of us have experienced being confined to our homes to limit the spread of COVID-19 , the idea may not seem so appealing anymore. We all need that physical human interaction, to move around and to get some fresh air, all of which we can only do outside our own homes.

This presents both a challenge and an opportunity for ourselves and those around us. I have been spending a lot more time with my family and, while there have certainly been minor clashes, the opportunity to repair and strengthen our connections is there in abundance. When we take this opportunity, we can come out stronger and better on the other side.

This is akin to the world of access management in SAP. A complex and multidimensional topic, when it’s done right it can lead to a smoothly-run business operation, similar to a well-made car.

In the midst of COVID-19, XS Control remains committed to helping our clients in managing their access risks and controls in SAP.

We have launched a brand new website, packed full of regularly-updated blog posts and other resources. Our website aims to spread our knowledge on how to manage user access in SAP to clients and non-clients alike. Some of the blog posts we have published cover the basics of segregation of duties and how you can approach an upcoming segregation of duties audit.

Coupled with that, this email is the first of many regular newsletters we will be publishing. We aim to keep you informed and in touch. Feel free to forward this newsletter to anyone who may be interested, and if you haven’t yet signed up for it, click here to subscribe.

Happy reading,
